Friday 12th January 2018 - Notice for patients -  We apologise that due to unexpected GP sickness/absence of a high level, we are very short on routine GP appointments today.  We are doing everything we can to obtain additional appointments, but apologise for any difficulty that you may be experiencing in obtaining an appointment.  Our reception staff are working hard to pass on the appointments to you, but we would be grateful if you could be patient with them and understand that the practice is working hard to rectify the situation.  Thank you for your patience.

Practice Management

Mrs Elaine Barnes is the Practice Manager and she is responsible for the administration of the practice. She would be happy to hear any comments or suggestions that you may have concerning services offered by the practice. 

If the Practice Manager is unavailable, Mrs Julie Meikle, (Reception Manager & Assistant to Practice Manager), will be able to help you with your enquiry.

Julie is our Reception Manager, and can assist you with any queries or comments you may have about the Running of our Reception.  She can also assist you with any query if our Practice Manager is unavailable.


Our team of receptionists helps to keep the practice running smoothly. They are there to assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your doctor, undertake repeat prescriptions and deal with any queries you may have. They are trained to do a difficult and demanding job and are there to help you.


The secretaries and admin staff also help with the smooth running of the surgery with regard to hospital referrals etc.  They can be contacted during the hours of 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.  During the hours outside of these times, they are busy taking dictation from GPs and are not able to be interrupted.
